| Is the web site down again on does qwest just suck? |
| It's the server host's network. The new owners are still working out details on moving the site to a new host....so far, however, I've not had any issues in the past couple of weeks, save for a time or two when it wouldn't resolve, but did within 2-3 minutes, tops. |

I can accept the fact that the site goes down from time to time, but you know what chaps my hide the most about it? The fact that I'm one of those people who uses the "view new posts" button, and the dang site lets me log the frick in, and THEN freezes up, so when I'm able to get back in, I miss a ton of stuff. THAT is what pisses me off the most. If it just wouldn't let me log in, I'd have a lot less grief for the situation.

Well if you have all of these problems - Maybe you should just give it up and don't go there again. I've been a member there for 5 years and never had your problems. |

LOL, I'm not pulling my hair out over it, just expressing some frustration over it as it's been delaying my ability to communicate with some folks who are selling some stuff, etc. Emotion does not show well in text, I suppose, because both you folks replied like I was gonna have a heartattack over it. Oh well.

So...have you even asked about this or posted it on there? Because the only user I could find with anything close to your username here last logged in during April 2009. Yeah, I know not everyone has the same username across the Internet, but I tried several variants, with only one hit.
So if you haven't, perhaps asking about it on that board, or PM'ing the administrator might be more useful than complaining about it on another board. Just sayin'. |

It has in the past. It has to do with how IP sessions are validated.
As posted by Admin over there: if you have multiple gateways or NAT's that have very different IP's, you may have a problem with remaining logged in. AOL was (in)famous for having such a problem. Many sites with shopping carts, banking sites, etc use similar security. It's a problem with how your network is configured. Networks should be configured to allow you to use the same session (with the same NAT/IP).
In short, your network admin will have to fix it. |

I have never really been on there. the few times I have been it been slow and kinda crappy.... sounds like the owner needs a new host... I may have an option for him..... I have been thinking of co-locating an old server (plenty of power)... someone pm him... see if he is interested and get back to me....
