Dec. 13th at 7:45am hosted by Phoenix Rod and Gun Club, 50 rounds and this month you must pre-register. We can only allow 20 people, if you want to shoot, please email me at
scott AT specializeddynamics.com We'll be shooting 100-600yds, so please know your bullet drop(dope). 223 up to 300 win mag(nothing over 3000fps) match grade ammunition a must also. |
| Guys, is nobody interested in shooting bolt guns or are a lot of folks intimidated by it. i promise anyone who shows up that you will have fun, learn something new and get addicted to a new sport. We're a friendly enough bunch of guys, its not like highpower where you get thrown on the line and your their to fend for yourself.(not knocking high power), we help spot, help with wind and drop for your gun and usually will let someone borrow equipment if you don't have it. Come on out and see what your missing. You can shoot this with an AR with a scope more powerful than 10X, i've shot my AR half the year this year and finished fairly well. Hope to see some of you next weekend. |

How long do these matches last? And do they ever have them on days other than Sunday? I'll be getting off work at 5:00AM here soon, so I could make it to a match, but if it's on a work day, I can't be out for all day, LOL.
Also, I'd have to re-sight my 700PSS to get it back to where I want it. And find more match ammo. Down to something like 200 rounds. Hoping to get one of my AR's set up for more precise work (to 600 yards, or so) if I can manage to afford the stuff needed, and then afford a case of 68-77gr match ammo. I'm working on it, but might be a few more months before the AR's ready. Hoping to sight the 700 in before the end of the year, then print off some rough come-ups and hit a match so I can embarass myself and learn something new.

| The match is usually 8AM till 1100 AM maybe 1130 AM at the latest. There are plenty guys at this match that have PDA's or I-phone ballistic data for most calibers, just ask one of them for come-ups at whatever range. I got my wife a left hand Rem 700 in 223 and she had a great time at her very 1st match last month, now she is addicted to smacking steel plates. She finished in 4th place beating most of us, but we dont care as long as everyone has a safe, fun time. Match ammo is not a must, just use ammo that prints decent enough to shoot ok size groups out to 200 yrds on paper targets and can hit steel to 600 yrds. |
| I'm really trying to make it one of these Scott, my schedule is F'ed up right now and living in Flag doesn't make it any easier. I don't have a bolt gun but want to come down and check it out. I need to get in on one of your intro classes! I hope you don't get discouraged and stop organizing it before I can make it. Good luck this weekend guys. |

For those of you on the fence, I've shot this match a couple of times when I was living in Phx and Tucson. Scott and the guys have a great time and it's definetly a great time to meet other shooters! Scott, if I was out there you know I'd be shooting... hell I'd drag my wife and the .308 that she likes to shoot and let her shoot the match also!! You should try and do a "couples" match in which the combines scores are what're used. |
