Hey AZ people,
I am looking for a good car for my son to drive this summer. Anybody out there know of one with AC, good gas mileage and good shape? Cash buy face to face. I will have the car checked out by a dealer prior to agreeing to buy. Not looking for an expensive car so i will consider anything under $2,000.00

Arizona cars only please.(phoenix area)

under $2000 with ac and in good shape is going to be hard to find...

check craigslist or autotraderfor a used honda, might have some luck there with the ac but will probably not be the best looking car...

I've seen a lot of good cars up here in the Prescott area in that price range - down in the Valley it might be hard to find something though.

Agreed. You can pick up a decent used Taurus for around 3 grand, 2 is pushing it these days.

Craigs list is full of dealers and curbers . not a lot of clean cars with cold ac for 2k.

Hi Randy,

I have one that may fit the bill. It's an AZ 93 Saturn SL2 with 107K miles. AC blows cold, new battery, fairly new tires, All new struts about 10K miles ago (that cost me over a grand), new radiator, well maintained, runs nice. I'd let it go for $1600. Let me know if you are interested.

I'm not sure if this violates EE rules (hope not), but I have two vehicles for sale right around 3k. (I'm not a dealer, I'm selling them for my in laws)

97 Grand Cherokee 4x4 with AC
97 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with AC

IM me for details

Grand Cherokee has the 6 cylinder.

Tacoma has a 4 cylinder with 5 speed manual. The grill and bumper were removed, not wrecked (my brother in law lifted it, not sure why he removed those).

2k can be hard, but not impossible.

You can find some decent, even low miles ford taurus and escorts for that price.

I would say 3500 is the lowest I would go. Theres a few good rangers for around 4-5k right now on craigslist.

not on nice used cars, I just got the latest Manhime auction report . and the new and used car dealers can move any clean used car at the auction for book with out the hassel of a retail customer .
