Hey guys I've been on this sight for a while and never knew there was a Hometown section huh things you learn when bored!!! lol Anyways I think we should have a shoot day at the Scottsdale Gun Club. If your not a member I can get some in for free and we can shoot till ammo runs out for free!!! Everybody bring all your toys!!!(Or for some people that have a ton of guns your fav toys) Lets plan it for some weekend soon. Let me know what you all think. I will call the gun club and see what they have to say when I have a idea on how many people are going to go. If you don't live around Scottsdale or have been living under a rock and have not heard of or don't know where Scottsdale gun club is here is the web sight.

You can keep SGC and their attitudes. Thanks any way.

SGC pretty much sucks - I'd stay home and just let them be dicks to each other.

WOW did not know they were so bad. I've never had a bad time there. What is so bad about them???

Tell us how THAT works out for you. That said, I am planning on going out to Ben Avery this weekend.

There have been several issues with SGC posted over the years here, iv never had a problem though.  You won't find much love for them here, that’s for sure.  A couple of times their employees have made me feel like I should be thanking them for the privilege of paying to use their range.

I can vouch for Ben Average sucking.

I'd rather stay home than shoot at the main range out there.

Why do you say that?

Is the range still packed on the weekends?

I think Ben Avery is a great range.. I live in the SE Valley and I would gladly drive past Usery and away from Public Desert to go shoot on nice benches.

The only problem I have is their safety people sometimes are a little excessive, but I'd rather have that than the opposite.

That's true - Ben Avery flipped out about a month ago when I picked up some brass and tossed it underhand over the line during the timeout.

Yes it's kind of a pain in the ass to get scolded by the range safety officers, but at least you don't have to be 150% alert to people acting like jackasses.. only 105%

The range at usery I believe is nowhere near as safe as Ben Avery.. I don't feel safe about their cease-fire check out routine. If I dont feel like trekking out to Ben Avery, i'll just head out to the desert.

Exactly.  I can't shoot in that environment.  I'm used to running on a hot range where you're with guys you can trust.  Punching holes in paper has limited value to me.  It's important, but I want more when I shoot.

I know they have to be super sensitive with safety out there at AVERY since you can't control the goobers that show up.  But I find no enjoyment in shooting at an elementary level.

It is a good range, but way over busy.  and Yes the RO's are a bunch of Dickheads !

I went this morning - It was perfect and not a madhouse. Too bad I am usually working on a weekday.

Ok so I'm heading back to AZ today and as the members of SGC should know this weekend is the 5th year they have been open. Also I gust got my new glock light and have to sight in the laser. So I see this shoot happening this weekend, Saturday. Let me know who is all in and the people that don't want to go or don't like the club can please stay out of this (not to sound mean). I have 3 in so far.

Thanks,
Jon

Those shoots don't always turn out so hot.

Retards shooting and drinking,  Retards blowing up appliances with tannerite,  Idiots with flame throwers burning dirt, the spot will get trashed, etc.

These group tard fests always turn out bad/dangerous.  I'd NEVER consider one of these mullet fests again.

I don't know about that - you've never graced us with your presence up here at the Prescott shoots. We've had three so far, over the past few years, and you couldn't ask for a better group of guys. We leave the spot cleaner than we found it (literally), no drinking and firearms handling, no blown up appliances, etc, etc. It's always been very safe and very fun.

Though no one in attendance had a mullet . . . .

That's good.  We've had a few dangerous shoots down here.  There's been inbred idiots who show up with their bowling ball motar.  And chunks of shit flying back and hitting cars from brainless usage of tannerite.

[#22]
Yeah I remember that whole bowling ball incident - I didn't make it to that shoot, but I've read about it a lot since.

Next time we have a Prescott shoot, you should join us. Hell, last time we had a member from Texas show up!

What memories!!!!!!!  Going to the desert (or Casa Grande) with a thousand rounds of ammo, a case of tannerite, a household appliance or two, a few pounds of black powder, bowling balls and friends!  Do you have any of the videos?  Those were the days my friend...

Hey JON, take a few bottles of Tannerite to the SGC ask them if you can shoot it in there.  Make sure you have a hidden video camera somewhere.

Yup, with all the turds who have moved here, from other states in the last 20 years, desert shooting has gone down hill real bad.

Like Rizzo said
The Prescott shoots are safe and fun including the full auto goodies,  no mullets have been sighted for many years.

Yeah it's been plenty wet - I'm not seeing a fire-ban in the future, so I'm all about the campfire. Oh and I just picked up a dozen bowling pins for $2 at a yard sale, so we've got some good targets for pistol competition.

Now, where will I get the ammo . . . .
