This is unacceptable.
There should be protests outside this sham of a courthouse while this trial is going on. Patrick |
| Nothing new, Barnett has had his shoulder to the wheel for a long time. A rare American still of possession of his brains and balls. Obammer just put the do nothing against, do everything for the illegals Napolitano in charge of DHS...includes ICE and Border Patrol. Another insulting kick in the head... |

God damn it, reading that pisses me off so much that it's hard to comment on.
THEIR Civil Rights? "Emotional distress"?? 32 fucking million dollars?!
WTF is going on here America?!
This is the kind of unfair, overwhelmingly irrational B.S. that will some day drive American Patriots to action –––– and the results won't be pretty.
.......Oh! Forgive me.......I just remembered that The Messiah's hand-picked "expert" on Homeland Security (Neapolitan herself) will take care of all of this. Rant off......

It's not today's news just because the Washington Times reported it yesterday.
This case has been proceeding for years. I believe he was charged criminally, or was at least investigated, then sued. This has nothing to do with the "Mahdī", other than the trial starts under his rule. All the preliminary stuff had occurred during the Bush II years. Jay |

"The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog. "
22,000 acres? I would imagine he has access to a back-hoe. My guess is the illegals got better treatment by this guy than they would have gotten from me. Shoot Feed the dog Shovel Shut up |
It's a sad day when you can't even protect you property . he has paid his tax on it and deserves protection from the GOV. these scum are not citizens and should have no rights .he should not have to deal with this problem and pay tax too . if he has to deal with this by himself he should be tax exempt ,he is not getting his moneys worth .it will take time and money to kill and plant that scum and if they (the Gov )want's to keep getting his tax money they should protect him or give him a refund .

a few years ago another rancher in the douglas area, same type of situation. had a large group of illigals on his ranch , he told to sit. one of the illigals got in his face and he pulled out his pistol, and hit the illigal with the butt of his pistol. NOW the rancher resides in prison, and mexico owns his ranch.
It's a bad situation here in cochise county. doesn't illigally here mean they don't have rights here.i think so! personally i don't think they exist if they're illigal!!!! |

That man was a convicted felon and a prohibited possessor, and the FBI shot and killed his bodyguard in the Safeway parking lot in Douglas when he went for a gun as they were trying to make an arrest. And the aliens were Hondurans, I believe, and they (husband and wife) now own his ranch. But yeah, its pretty absurd, really. Its only a matter of time before law enforcement is standing on the border in blue helmets handing out welfare checks and apartment finder guides. |

$20K per head plus legal expenses to defend and protect what is yours:
Jury rules rancher didn't violate migrants' rights
TUCSON - A jury in Tucson has found that a southern Arizona rancher didn't violate the civil rights of a group of illegal immigrants who claimed he detained them at gunpoint in 2004. The federal jury also found Roger Barnett wasn't liable on claims of battery and false imprisonment. But the jury did find him liable Tuesday on four claims of assault and four claims of infliction of emotional distress. The jurors ordered Barnett to pay nearly $78,000 in damages. The bulk of that is punitive. Barnett's lawyer said he feels good about the outcome. http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2009/02/17/20090217border-confrontation0217-ON.html |

How about we (The People) sue the Mexican Consulate / Government for emotional distress, social hardship, and whatever else we can come up with for not stopping their people from illegally entering our country? I mean seriously...
As for the MALDEF, we should co-name them for wasting tax-payer dollars on bullshit lawsuits. Or how about the Respondant in the OP's link counter-sue the 16 illegals for damaging his property, causing HIM emotional distress since he can't leave his property without some ass-hole fucking up his stuff, breaking into his house, desicrating (sp?) his land, and littering? Seems fair to me... they can sue US, lets sue THEM.
|
| And another thing... how do we file a FOIA request for the names of the Jurors? Isn't it a matter of public record? What about Obama's thing about a more transparent-ish type of governement? Argh... next thing you know some jackass will be suing you if HE runs his vehicle into YOURS. Wow oh wow. |

Or am I missing something??

| I had a friend who was q prospective juror who was questioned but not put on the case. He is an NRA and AZCDL member, so the plaintiff probably didn't want him on the case. He said the people who did get picked were pretty much the dumbest mouth breather American Idol watching clueless tools in the room. |

landmines dude. When was the last time north korean troops went south?
I would imagine that most people with land along the border would donate 50 yards or so of their land to lay mines. Those that are too liberal to allow the use of their land, well there is always imminent domain. Make it better for everyone, thats what that law was originally intended for anyway. |
