I'd go, but shooting competitively against the CavArms crew is like running a marathon against Kenyans. Except that they didn't come in first... Rick got second, Don 6th, and myself 7th. We do not purport to be gods of shooting, anyone with time and money can do this stuff. "I won't win anyway" is a lame excuse to not participate in shooting competition. The purpose of competition is to test yourself against your peers, learn, and improve ones own skills. |
| Just moved to AZ and would really like to try something like this. I have tried IDPA style events, but nothing with my rifle. Besides the rifle, a ton of ammo, and a smile.....what else would you consider critical gear? Hope this isn't too general, and thanks in advance. |

You will need something to hold at least one spare mag for your rifle and pistol on your body, a good holster, and a sling for your rifle. Water, snacks, sunscreen, eyepro, hearing pro, and something to carry all that stuff in, and thats about it. It helps to zero your rifle ahead of time too
Check out actshooters.com for more info, or feel free to IM me with other questions. |

Nope, headshots ONLY! No chance of shooting through the holes that way Steve-OH, you are coming to the next one right? Is it going to be in Phoenix? If it's on a Saturday, yeah man I'll come. I was just checking out the website. The guy that won was using iron sights? Impressive. |

If you guys want an intro to multi-gun competition class, I can do one at the shop for free (it's been a while since I put one on)
If you want to do one with range time, we can do one in Casa Grande for $15.00 per person to drag out our steel targets and target stands. |
