So here's the deal. Work has me overseas for a while, but I will be home for 2 weeks leave starting on Thursday. I need to buy a new safe, and in order to maximize my time at home I would like to enlist the help of the AZ HTF. I am looking for something that would be in the class of safe like the old Browning Silver series (what I have now). It's a 30x24x60 safe, S&G lock, and weighs about 500 pounds. I would like to get another that is similar in size and quality, or even larger, and set up primarily for long gun storage since I have no trouble with pistols, but my rifles and shotguns are a bit pressed for room. Anyway, here's what I had in mind. There are a few places around the Phoenix metro area that sell safes, such as Cabelas, Sportsman's Warehouse, and the Safe Place (there may be others, but you get the idea). The favor I am asking for is that if there are any of you that may be visiting any stores that carry safes, make a short detour through the safe area and jot down the price on a comparable safe and post it here for me to see with the price, and details on the safe itself (manufacturer, size, interior layout, etc). It's okay if it may have a few extras like an electronic lock. That will save me a tremendous amount of time during my short stay at home driving around trying to find the right safe. Another possible option is if anyone has a safe for sale, please let me know. I will be able to pick it up next weekend. TIA, -Greg |
