| now it's the lost indian highway . |

Nappy broke the law and named a mountain for her without the proper waiting period. What’s the deal Nappy? Didn’t get in front of the cameras enough the first go around? Nappy must pray every night for the opportunity to exploit political gain from another person’s honor and sacrifice; particularly if the correct race/gender/orientation criteria are met…. We have had number of Arizonians die in the GWOT… start naming freeways b****! |
Won't work! Pat was not an indian Pat was not a female And Pat did not get lost in the desert. Sorry, as a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Gulf War veteran and a member of the Arizona Army National Guard I feel that the libtards of this state have gone way overboard with this issue. We do not join the military to get honor but to help protect our country from its enemies both foreign and domestic, or so they say. Phessor

ok so I'm an insentive asshole just ask my first wife ,but the fact is if she died in combat because she could not do the job that she was trained for (read and plot a corse on a map) she is not a hero worthy of an honor such as haveing a highway and park named after he . I meant no disrespect for any who have sereve (I served 1971/1973 Nam) as to me haveing shit for brains that statement just shows your ignornance. the state and county is broke and we do not need to spend money to change the name of highways and parks just to confuse most of us who pay the tax and foot the bill . she was no better than any soldier who died for this nation ,were she not a native american woman you would have never heard of her. |
I would consider him to be "admirable" because of being willing to walk away (at least for a short time) from an NFL career to serve in the Army with his brother. It was tragic that he was killed by FF, but I don't consider him to be a "hero" in the classic sense. |
Exactly. The Governor bent over backwards to get it changed faster than laws allow.... and yet that fucking America-blaming PROPAGANDA monstrosity called the "9-11 Memorial" is STILL there blaming US for the attacks. |
Gonif, I was 16 when the Vietnam war ended. Those of you that served there were and still are, my personal heroes, like it or not. Thanks for your service. The fact that some who served in Vietnam may not have been in combat, or may have made mistakes or failed in some way, doesn't change the way I feel about them. Just having set foot in Vietnam in an American uniform, instead of fleeing to Canada or into college or the NG, gained my admiration. Yes, some rose higher than others, but even the least deserve respect. I feel the same about Iraq/Afghanistan. I understand where you're coming from, but I think you could have stated it without demeaning Lori Piestewa in the process. She had nothing to do with the renaming and probably would have been against it had she lived to see it. And how she died and how well she performed her service has nothing to do with it either. Honestly, there was no call for your remarks. Call the governor names if you must, but leave Lori out of it. |
| Anyone who has been in combat with an incompitant ,and friends die or become seriously injured because of them will know exactly how I feel about it . the rest can not relate and as such have no clue .I remain an old insensitive ass hole who can't accomidate less than the truth. ether her training was lacking or she was . in any case it's too late now and future generations will have the false impression she was a hero of some sort . history is probably full of this kind of thing . |
