| Looking for a complete LPK for an AR build. I'd rather not fork over $80+ to order from RRA or Bushy. Does anyone have quality LPK's in stock in town? Preferably E of 51 and not too far south? I'd rather not have to drive to Queen Creek if there's a closer source if yanno what I mean. Thanks. |

www.globaltactical.com/axami/shop.php?grd=235&prd=236 Better than local. $68 with free shipping- and here the second day. Save on gas, and the webstore is open 24/7. As a bonus, you support this website by purchasing from a paying vendor. |

We have not experienced any problems with the Stag/CMT kits. You may want to talk to a reputable vendor like Denny's Guns/ GTS if you have any questions. I have read and experienced problems with DPMS parts kits having parts break. At $50 for a DPMS parts kit it way be worth the risk to some. |
I'm gonna second this post. |
Why don't you like local places? |
tfod didn't say that he didn't like local places, what he said was- a. Save on gas, and the webstore is open 24/7. b. As a bonus, you support this website by purchasing from a paying vendor. Just read the lines, instead of trying to read between them.

What Noshoot said. I like supporting local businesses. I try to keep the money in the community. The local shops support little league, scouts and reinvest in the community. What Tactics did for Cat-Mechanic is very noble and generous and a great example of a local business reinvesting in the community. I would look forward to doing business with Tactics. Sometimes because of time constraints and not wanting to burn ga$ for a simple purchase I will order parts on line. |
My understanding (of manufacturing of parts and such in several different industries) is that while there may be only a couple of major manufacturers, they make parts for different customers according to the specs that the customer requests. This is most especially true in the bicycle industry where most bike frames are made in only 3-4 plants in and around China. What sets the different brands apart is spec and attention to detail in the manufacturing/finishing (check out the welds of a Fuji frame vs a Specialized frame and you will see the difference). In the firearms industry you will have companies like S&W doing forgings for other manufacturers to the spec that is specified. (I would name names here, but the last time I did this someone picked up the phone and called a major manuf. of 1911's and caused a serious sh!t storm.) It may be only a few manufacturers doing all of the parts, but it is what the manufacturing specs are that set the components apart. |
www.kimberamerica.com/knowledgebase/index.php?ToDo=view&questId=13&catId=3 Does Smith & Wesson make any parts on the Kimber? No. Kimber pistols and rifles are 100% manufactured, assembled and tested by Kimber. ** At one time, Smith & Wesson provided raw metal forgings to Kimber. These blocks of steel were then machined by Kimber into slides and frames. This is no longer true and Kimber does every aspect of the pistol & rifle production. |
Tactics is only about 30 miles from Power and McKellips. |
Kimber wasn't/ still isn't the only one. Something to think about when people out there are buying HIGH END 1911's. |
