I am visiting for a couple more days and am wanting to be able to take advantage of being able to rent before heading home where we can't have these types of evils. I stopped by Scottsdale Gun Club a couple days ago and was able to finally see what a Thompson was like, but today I drove over 25 miles only to find that Mandal Shooting Supplies was closed up. I was really looking forward to trying out a MP5. Are there any other ranges where you can rent Class III firearms in the greater Phoenix area other than the Scottsdale Gun Club? Thanks for the help, I fly back to Washington State on Thursday. I hope you folks know how good you have it here when it comes to things like gun rights here. I checked on the ranges topic, but couldn't find any useful info. |

I did more calling today, looked through yellow pages, more web sites, etc. and found the same answer too. I was hoping someone knew of another place within an hour drive, but what the heck, one place is better than none! At least you guys still have one place you can go an do this if you want to. (And what an impressive place it is). Thanks for the information - much appreciated!!! |
Shooter's World could be so much better. I don't understand why they stock their store with so much tactical stuff but don't have many firearms. They hardly have any longarms at all.  Instead most of their floor space is used up by tacticool stuff. They don't even sell much in the way of ammo. I remember when they used to have an MP5SD6 years ago. I wanted to rent it and shoot it one day. Unfortunately I was a bit young then.
