| I am the latest F.N.G. I guess. I have been reading postings for a while now. I was wondering if anyone has heard of Arizona Tactical Firearms. I am thinking about taking their tactical pistol course. Has anyone taken this course? Any input would be great. |
| Depends on if your talking shooters world, which is the original arizona tactical or the f**k tards at Arizona Tactical Firearms(ATF) in Tempe. If its the tempe people, they suck and the owner is an arrogant ass, ask what range he does his training on? probably the desert cause he's banned from the local ranges. |
If you saw this...why didn't you report what you saw to the manager...that a possible straw purchase was in progress? |
Plus their prices are way high. I went in there twice I think. I sometimes go to the Barber shop next to ATF, but never go in there at all anymore. You have the usual bunch of gun counter douche bags carrying on really loud so everyone can enjoy their "expert" knowledge. You have to have a lame operation for me to walk right past it on a regular basis. |
| i go to the barbershop next to them as well. I pop in every now and then. I like the owner and the guys that work there. Every so often there's a good deal on a consignment gun, and Arizona Tactical's selection is getting a bit thin for the drive to 28/ISR anyway. |

I've been dealing with the owner (Ron) for well over 4 years and will continue to do so. I have my CCL through them and my wife will soon take their course. I also used them to buy four of my registered rifles and they helped me sell some as well. I say give them a chance before you take the word of others. Stop by their shop in Tempe (Baseline and McClinotck), take a look at their inventory, talk to them or just kick back on one of their couches, buy a soft-drink and read the paper. If you are happy with their prices, buy something. If not, see if they will work with you. But by all means do your best to not trash a fellow gun enthusiast who is also a gun dealer. There seems to be fewer and fewer of them around, and if we continue to drive them away, there won't be anyone to blame except ourselves. azski |
| I have had nothing but good experiences there. I bought my .22lr can from them a few months ago, and the whole process went thru very smoothly. I also took my CCW there. Every time I go in there, a couple of them know my name, and I don't go in there but once every couple months or so. |
| I saw him have one of his episodes at Rod & Gun. One of the guys running the match offered his advice to him in a polite way. Maybe the advice was bad, who knows. Anyway, once the guy's back his turned, he carries on with his friends with facial gestures making fun of him like he's a 12 yr old. |
Couldnt agree more. Bunch of a-holes that think nobody that comes in could possibly know as much or more than them. One jackoff there told me he could get me a deal on a RRA since I mentioned I was in the buying phase. When asked, "How much?", the "Tard" said..."Oh...about $1,350.00". Dont these loosers know about the internet??? Good post BTW. |
That was my experience the one time I've been in their shop. I was looking at an SA "loaded" microcompact 1911, and asked the guy there how much. He replied somewhere around $1100. He didn't seem amused when I asked him that since that was a fair price would he like to buy mine for $900?? |
| I saw them "teaching" a CCW class or whatever at the local range here and they were talking shit about the students and then my wife after she shot, not knowing I can hear them. F*ck those guys. I decided that then was a good time to let off a box of my freshly loaded hot magnum rounds from my ported short barrel S&W since they were being pricks. Nice, loud, fire breathing fun. Can't say he liked it to much. Don't think the whole indoor range did either. |
