| Anyone know of any stores in Phx / Mesa area that carry this gun and how much they are asking? I've seen it for between $225 - $250 but that was a few months ago. Caswells wants $300 for it. |
Its lightweight, easy to conceal, and you know you are going to get at least the first reliable round off. I haven't been able to put a full mag through mine without having a FTE, but its better than having no gun at all. I wouldn't carry it if it were any heavier. |
Hmmm.. On my deepest concealment days, I've still gone with my G27 in an ankle rig. I just don't see buying any gun that you know isn't likely to run reliably. |
| I got mine because it's the perfect pocket gun. I would never carry it alone but it's nice to know I always have it, that is, when I don't forget I have it, incase something goes wrong with my main carry piece. As for reliability, it must be a hit and miss thing because my cousin and I haven't had a single issue with ours and we've both put a couple hundred rounds through them. |
... Second generation P3AT do run reliably. The main recommendation I have is to use traditional Ball ammo for better penetration. Hollow-points, can initially create devastating wounds, may not be adequate to get to vitals |
I jog with a G22 on a belt holster. I don't think I'd want to try to stop a pitbul attack (or worse yet, a multiple pitbull attack) with a P3AT!!! But I will agree that something is better than nothing! Reminds me of the most recent PITBULL vs. L.E. shooting.. (where the old woman lost her hand). The cop tried to beat and kick the dog off before shooting it... ![]() Believe me... I'm going straight to live rounds if one of those shitbags ever comes up on me, cleatus! |
I didn't get it to replace my G22 or G27. I carry my G27 99% of the places I go. THe Kel-Tec is a back-up to those guns and for the 1% of the time that it's hard to carry my G27 due to whatever...... |
