My brother is thinking of getting posted with the Border Patrol there in Yuma. Is it a good place to live he can go there or Blythe, Calif. How is it?

Blythe sucks compared to Yuma.

Yuma would not be my first choice of places to live in AZ, makes Phoenix look temperate.

But I'd pick Yuma 10 times out of 10 over Blythe.

Yuma is by the sand dunes. Great riding. Even better if it is at .gov expense in a BP 4x4, buggy, or quad!!

And Yuma is what .. maybe 2 hours from San Diego ... a big plus in my book.

Blythe has the Kali cost of living adjustment so he will make 20 or so percent more being there. Something to consider if money is an issue.

Blythe also has a lower cost of housing that Yuma, is near the river and not too far from Phx or LA.

My brother chose Yuma. Part of it was so he could have his AK and AR. He has no kids, no wife, and never dated in HS that I can remember, Never dated in college that I know of. He is a member of this board so I better watch what I say. Well so is the wife and she hasn't shot me yet.
