I'm new to AZ and found the links to the local shooting ranges here on ARFCOM (thanks). I need to rezero my rifle (new optic and BUIS) and since I'm near Cortaro, the Pima Pistol Club looks like the best/closest place to sight in. I didn't see the operating hours of the range listed on the website for the range. I'm also wondering about the condition of the road leading to the range. With all of the rain, I'm wondering if anyone has been there recently and can tell me if the wash has made the road unusable. I've called the range several times but haven't had anyone answer (probably because it's like most range telephones). I'm not complaining, just saying that I've tried the obvious solution to my questions without any luck. Anyway, if any one knows the hours of operation and the status of the road I'd appreciate the info. Edited to add that the tackec AZ range thread has a summary on page 2 listing the hours as 7AM till dusk. Can anyone who has been there recently confirm this? BTW, I do plan on using the desert for shooting once I'm dialed in. Thanks in advance. |
