Does anyone have any experience how long it is taking for AZ to issue CCW permits now that they have changed to the 8 hour classroom time?

They're looking at you through a microscope

Paranoid now?

j/k..Sometimes there is a delay because they only send the new permits to the laminator about once every 2 weeks. You might have just got it in there right after they sent the last batch and then you had the holiday.. Or, the FBI might be busy with the Katrina stuff and there might be some type of delay. Call them on Friday and ask if there is a problem if you don't get it..

I have been waiting  just over 2 weeks now. When I was finger printed at the Chandler PD the lady commented on how many CCW cards they had processed the last few days ???

Eagerly awaiting but haven't gotten paranoid yet..

I wonder if the 8 hour class has created a workload problem?

I received mine within 1 week after taking prebans’s class (fellow board member). This was back in December of 2004 right before they upped the cost of processing. I think I got it the day before my birthday (Dec. 24th).

It arrived today.  Issued on the 3rd, postmarked on the 20th and arrives on the 23rd.  Odd thing was the envelope looked like someone wadded it into a ball...

But it is here....

I mailed mine today...let's see how long it takes. I noticed on the application it stated 45 days as the time allotted. Basically they don't want to hear from you unless it has been over 45 days. So, I'm guessing the turn around time would be under 45 days as a normal practice and if it goes over 45 days most likely YOU got a problem.

Recieved mine in the mail today.  They must be processing these things in weekly batches.

I mailed mine on Sept 22 and got it in the mail this past Saturday, October 8th. That was 16 calendar days or 11 business days. Not bad turn around! I'm happy!
