hey tucson shooters, its time for another get together to expend mass quantities of ammunition at helpless pieces of paper and cardboard!!!!!!! I am thinking a sunday morning shoot, around 8 am, at the range by the fairgrounds. naturally, i cant think of the name of the place now. but anyway, who all is up for it? let me know brandon |

I'm Down, Need to sight in my new AR... Re-sight in my bushy due to the new Front sight post and try my new handgun out. Lots of ammo will be shot. ETA: I plan on being there at 8am-ish FYI for those who havn't been there before, there is no soda machine, so bring your own fluids if you dehydrate fast like me. |
![]() I can't beleive they gave me shit for reloading my staple gun durring a cease fire. |
thats what you get for reloading your pre-ban, full auto, hi-cap staple machine gun. hehe |
And thats why ranges are deserted. |
I've got a great quail spot southwest of Tucson. It's good for rabbits too, and probably dove, but I don't hunt those nasty fuckers. Now that I think of it, I haven't killed a single rattlesnake in the area (but I have farther South) but that doesn't mean they aren't there. Red Rock, while not South of Tucson, is great for all three (there also used to be a great big desert range out there). I got 23 fat, edible rattlers out there one night after the monsoons had hit. I'm not sure if hunting is still allowed out there though. |
How far South? There is some National Forest areas in the Santa Ritas, one a primitive camping area. There is a dammed wash up there with a bit of water and some stock tanks. Plenty of quail, coyotes, bobcats and probably plenty of snakes but I don't go looking for them. Go East on I-10 to Sonoita turn-off, head South. About 25 to 30 some miles from Rita Road. I go up there shooting all the time. |
