Mods - don't kill this one..this isn't a "which dog is better" thread or anything...and doesn't belong in the EE, etc.

Posted by DesertPilot on Lightfighter....he used to live here in the Valley but recently moved.  Anyone able to help, contact him:

Some of you know that last January I took a job in California and since then, my life has been a little crazy. To make matters worse, when we moved, we sold our house and moved into an appartment here in Rancho Cucamonga.

Well, we had to leave our dogs in the care of a "family friend" well, apparently that didn't work out so well.

This morning I recieved a call from the Arizona Humane Society stating that a stranger had turned in my pitt bull Zoey as a stray. I came to find our that she was dumped somewhere in north Phoenix about 3 days ago.

Here's my delema, aside from going to AZ and having a word with my "friend" I can't have her in my appartment here in CA and every time I mention the word Pitt Bull, people freak like she's a freaking great white shark or something.

I'm wondering if there is anyone in Arizona on this board who would be willing to take in my pup. She's a 1 1/2 year old red brendle pitt bull. 50+ lbs. She's not spayed yet, has all of her ears and tail and is a wonderful inside family dog. Great with kids, tons of energy. She's been kennel trained, house broken and has been to obedience training. I would not recomend her to anyone who has any other female animals.

Her shots are up to date and she's got a microchip. If you have any questions about her, please feel free to contact me. There are a few memebers here who have met her, Raith did and I think Tim W. did as well. Her picture is below.

I'd just like to know that she's going to a good home and won't be used to fight.

Anyone interested, EMAIL ME at  [email protected] and I'll forward along....

Too bad she wouldn't get along w/ another female pit.. ( mine doesn't either ).  She could have been the assistant vice president of rattle snake operations for my land in southern az.   My current dog is the VP of rattle snakes now.

Beautiful dog.

Tim, I'm on it. We'll start looking for a foster home, hopefully permanent. Forward some contact info to me via IM.

Guys, I tried to place the other male pit before, but no luck,  One of the guys I called said he was looking for a female that was not spayed.  He wants to breed with his male.  He's a fellow cop, so you can rest assured that the dog will be well taken care off.

The other guy at my work, who is the biggest pit fanatic I know, said he can make some calls if the first guy is not interested.  He is from Ca., and has a friend in Rancho Cucamonga that is looking for a dog.

He asked me to call the first officer before he called his friend in Rancho Cucamonga.  I called that guy, and left a message.  I think he's out of town until tomorrow.  I'll post here as soon as I find out.
