I'm looking for a Glock 30 and was wondering who might have the best price on them. Topglock has them on sale for $497 right now but I would prefer a used one if any of you guys have seen one at a local shop.

TIA

I bought my last Glock from Glockmeister at the Crossroads show.  Good show prices and he can do any mods for you on the spot.  Were I going to purchase another Glock from a dealer, Ben would get my business.

I would love to do business with a Glock specialty store like that, but I can't bring myself to buy from a dealer that doesn't allow its own customers to carry in their establishment.

+1

No kidding. When I lived in MA, I was always allowed to carry in the local gun shops. But then again, I was also able to carry in bars.

New policy at Glockmiester?  I've carried in there and seen others do the same.

Ben is a good guy in my experience.

If I'm not mistaken, it reads "No Loaded Firearms" right on the front door.

FWIW. I have bought two Glock 30s from TG.  I bought one of the specials just before Christmas and it did not have US in the serial number like the one I bought a year previous.  Both are perfect and I really could not tell you the difference.  But, I suspect that the reason for the "lower" prices is that they have imported a batch from somewhere rather than the US model you will get in most places.  I don't know if the difference is significant.  What say the rest of you? So far I'm loving it, especially with price increases on the rampage.

I think you mean "redundant", not "double negative".  But it's ok, us Glock guys don't expect good vocabulary from you 1911 guys.

Insurance requirement.

Well there are hundreds of stores in the valley that have "insurance requirements".  Costco, Bashas, the list is enormous. They should find an insurance company that doesn't require them to alienate their customers.  If there's a sign banning CCW, we should ban them from getting our business.  Unless you want to live in a place that has signs on every business...I don't.

I can understand their concern about some Elmer Fudd walking in with a loaded duck gun, waving it about and asking if they have ammo for it. However, I prefer the Dillon Precision approach "weapons must be unloaded and cased, OR remain holstered"... much more appropriate. Lots of gunshops don't have any signs/requirements at all (Pistol Parlor in Mesa springs to mind), which suits me just fine.

Basha's out in Gold Canyon has something else-- no weapons WITHOUT concealed weapons permit.

Hum, the gun shop I just started working at part time has no policy on customers carrying firearms...Of course as staff  carrying on the job is strongly encouraged....

I've seen a lot of those signs on gunstore entrances. It's for the Elmers as previously stated, if you can't figure that out, well,.... nevermind.

Reread the Az CCW statute/Misconduct with weapons statute, particulary the portion where it states

Unless specifically authorized by law, entering any public establishment or attending any public event and carrying a deadly weapon on his person after a reasonable request by the operator of the establishment or the sponsor of the event or the sponsor's agent to remove his weapon and place it in the custody of the operator of the establishment or the sponsor of the event; or

Is he offering to maintain the weapon for you? Does he have gunlockers available for public use?
