this sounds like fun, gonna see what my schedule looks like.
Im converting 1 post to pre, and building another. Im assuming someone will have a vice and action blocks for barrel installation. If there is gonna be drinking, and since i dont drink, i could be a designated driver for anyone else located up in the north east (tatum/union hills) |

Ok..The ban is officially dead on the 13th at midnight eastern time which is Monday...That would make it dead for us on the 12th (Sunday night) at 2100 hours.. But, most people will wait until 1200 our time just to be on the safe side...
Is this shin-dig going to be in the evening or during the day of the 13th or 14th? |

So what are we looking at?
Show up at 23:00 on Monday night. Then get to work at 00:01 Tuesday morning. OR Do it all sometime Tuesday. I think I'll take Tuesday off either way. |

No, we would have to show up at 2300 on Sunday night the 12th and begin working like Santa's Helpers on Christmas Eve at 0001 hours Monday morning which is the 13th... |

... I dunno, my confidantes know I prefer to remain “squeaky” clean when it comes to gunlaw. This whole “what time is it in BFE when the ban sunsets?” idea has me a bit concerned when it comes to assembling our tools. I’d prefer Tuesday; that way there’s no question of legality. … Call me a wimp, been called worse. |

Wimp!  (You TOLD me to call you one!)But Tuesday is the 14th which is a day after the ban expires.. I also agree about the time zone stuff...Eventhough I mentioned it, I was simply repeating what I read in another thread....I'm also with you on being above board on following the laws..Expiring or not, there's no reason to raise eyebrows.... But Monday is the official end to the ban, not Tuesday....Just thought I would clarify.. |

I may only be able to stop by for a while, I'll be doing the majority of my conversions at home (I don't want to lug all of them across town, I'll be working on quite a few rifles for myself). I need to be at work early the next morning (early EVERY morning), so I'll be up late at my workbench in my PJs..
I'll bring some beers and some type of snacks, and probably some collapsible M4 stock sets and some flash suppressors for sale/trade. I need to round up some more 6-position tubes, they've been selling like crazy and I'm about out- Some of us might have to use 4-position tubes. Big deal, right? that's 3 more positions than we've got now.. .

I have the lathe too. someone needs to figure out how many A1 or A2 flash hiders and washers we'll need. Also, if anyone is coming up/down with FAL which need brakes unsoldered and FHs/MFDs screwed on in their place. D. AZEX (recuperating, Russ, the word is recuperating) OW... |

Ill need one phantom, Will all of these brakes being replaced with FH's be done in one day? It seems like a daunting task. What about price whats it going to cost to yank a brake and throw on a FH? I wouldnt mind helping to learn how its done.

well...come whenever you want...figure the food to start at about 6ish (give folk working a chance to get there... We are in an industrial area, so you could bring a 40ft. truck if you like.
