We used to go to the open range east of Apache Junction for target shooting.  2 weeks ago we went and found that it is now posted as State Trust Land and use is by written permit only.
Are there any areas of open range availabe for target shooting North or East of Phoenix?

Sounds like you were near or at AZstan. They closed all the popular areas of the Tonto Forest as well. When you find a good spot will you let us locals know.
