| Hello every one this is a great site. Okay enough kissing a$$. I live in Tucson, I was wondering if any one knows of a gunshop that has stripped lower receivers. one more thing, the legal age to own a gun (rifle) is 18 right? I know the lower requires a ffl so I have to be legal age to buy it, does an AR15 count as a rifle? can I be 18 and buy a stripped lower receiver? |
| Haven't seen a stripped lower in town. Murpys carries a complete lower for $280. Not to bad if you add up all the parts to build one. Does limit you on your choices for a custom build though. A lower receiver is treated as if t were a rifle. One more shop in town I need to check in on tomarrow in Tucson and see what they have. Building lowers isn't too bad build my last 2. Next gun show that lowers should be available for around $125 will be in May. |

Mike Detty of Mad Dawg is a great guy. His number is 520 749 8434. Hell, if you're lucky, there might even be a show in your part of town this weekend. Like sinistral said, he does the shows. He does not do walkins to my knowledge. Either way, give him a call, you wont be dissappointed. |

This coming weekend there is a gunshow in Casa Grande. here is the site http://www.firingpin.com/gs/ and Mike (Mad Dawg) was telling me about it. April 17&18 2004 it isnt listed on the gunshow thread (odd). I wonder why it isnt listed? I am still going to take a drive and check it out. |
