I plan on going Saturday March 6th. Just have to get my annual smell of 90 percent Nitro-methane. With 1/4 miles at 4.56 seconeds around 324 MPH. If you've never been to one. It's a must see, hear, and feel type of experince. Gota love those 6,000 horse's. |

If you haven't seen it in person. Then you must go. The Top Fuel and Funny Cars are awesome. Nothing like the ground shaking underneath you and through you. March 5-7, 7:30am to 7:00pm. Cost is 7.00 for parking. General admission plus pit pass is 29.00 on Friday, 39.00 on Saturday, and 43.00 on Sunday. I like going on Saturday, due to all cars are still racing. Saturday races elimanate about half the field for Sunday's races. |

I was just wondering how many of us were Drag Racing Fanatics. I will be there Sunday for sure and maybe Saturday. I go to Brainerd every August for the whole weekend, but wanted to see more, so I planned my vacation to see my sister's new house in Chandler around the racing schedule. I talked my sister and her husband, and 2 of their friends to come watch the races with me and none of them have been to one yet. There is nothing like the reaction of a first timer. Carbine10, you couldn't have said it better about a must see, hear, and feel experience as there is no way to describe it. I am even going to miss a pin shoot to be there. See ya in the pits. |

Another drag racing fan. NOTHING-I MEAN NOTHING-BEATS TOP FUELIES AT NIGHT!!! Ground pounding, tire smoking, pure horsepower!! I can respect what it takes to build an engine that can run 180-200MPH for a few hours (NASCAR) but the circle track thing gets to my ears and gets a little boring after a while. At least with drag racing your ears get a break and the smell of burnt nitro is a delicacy to my nose. I might have to see if I can go this weekend, but I REALLY NEED to do the front brakes on the truck before more goes wrong with them. (SHIT!!) |
