How appropriate. Sunday morning in front of Sportsmans Warehouse. I keep telling everyone that place is more like a temple than a store!

Carbine10,

What's vehicle access like at Table Mesa. Been going to Ben Avery for 15 years and never been to TM once.

[Homer] Mmmmmm....Sportsman's Warehouse. [/Homer]

Dirt road is pretty well maintained.

I've even seen a guy drive his corvette out there. Not suggesting it though. Mini-van and cars are fine. People even camp out there with their RV's.

Thanks! See you there.

It depends on how far in your drive.  Some parts are better off for trucks.

[#10]

We won't be going in that far, requiring a truck that is.

We will be on BLM land.

We'll be going to the same spot I use to drive my 1984 Toyota Supra into. Supra's have real low clearence and I never bottomed out. I've been going out there for seven years now.

Anyone going to be grilling?

What place are you asking about.

Directions to Sportsmans Warehouse are above.

Table Mesa Rd. is North of Anthem off I-17.

Just for your info Sportsmans Warehouse won't be open untill 10:00AM.

Count me in. Table mesa Rd. is, for the most part-and the first mile or so either direction-CAR driveable. However, if you/we plan on going much further than that, a truck is advisiable.
I'll be driving a black 4WD Toyota truck. What kind of vehicles does everyone else have, or should I just park in the lot at 8:30, crawl in the back of my truck and start waving an AR????

Thanks Carbine10, I was wondering where the shoot was.

The last shoot (AZstan) I went to, people said it was okay taking a car.  I thought it was pretty damn hairy.  If I went there again, I'd either get a ride or pack my bike.  W/ that said: Anyone feel like giving me a lift from Sportsman's Warehouse and dropping me off back there at the end?  Willing to pay some gas money...

I'll bring a case of coke / pepsi, case of bowling pins, name tags, sharpie.

A good time was had by all. Great to meet, shoot and chat with the fellow ARF.COMers.
Let's do it again. Besides, teknical needs more handgun work.

I thought he was a fine young man. I wish more of the young 'uns these days had his attitude and dicipline. The world would be a waaaaaay better place. Glad to have met him. BTW, some how I missed the "handgun" deal. What was up with that?

GOSH DARN IT.

Why didn't I see this?

I was at table Mesa (pretty far in) with a buddy shooting.   We had Tannerite, couple of MGs, (I really liked his grease gun) and lots of stuff.

Schucks.  This is where I shoot every Sunday.  Wish Id a known.

albob: teknical HAD NEVER fired a handgun, greenhorn pilgrim that he is (jus kiddin, tek) so he got the "international flavor" shooting my two Brownings, 1911A1, Beretta and Sig as well as I think Spackler's Glock. The man had a real smile on his face.
Jimmy: I think we heard you out there. We heard some other fire-FA also-occasionally.

I'll be around another few weeks and then gone until April.

I'll try and watch Hometown until I leave.

"Besides, teknical needs more handgun work."  I'd sure say, being that the closest thing to a handgun I've fired before would be those Aim-N-Flame lighters.  I DID have a hell of a lot of fun with those handguns (muchas gracias gamesniper, coyote3, and spackler).  Probably too much fun.  Now I'll have to go get one :)

Spackler, I like "North Valley Coalition" but how about "North Valley Arfcommers" or NVA for short?  I really appreciate the ride up, sorry if you ended up having to take a detour being late on the way back.

albob, if by attitude and dicipline you mean "doesn't flash people w/ the muzzle and keeps the shots below the backstop" that's just me.

I'd love to make this a regular thing.  Maybe every Sunday, or every other Sunday?  When's the next one? :)

Btw, Carbine10, I realized you went home with a couple extra six-packs of soda.  If you feel the urge, have fun with them.

Thanks to Spackler, Carbine10, gamesniper, albob, coyote3, and coyote3's wife!

My regular shootin' buddy had prior commitments so he couldn't be there Sunday. That being said, we MAY go back out this coming sunday, I haven't run my AK in a while and I need to warm up the 10-22 again too. I also NEED to bone up on my pistol shootin'. If we are going, I'll post here with excitement, like Carbine 10 did. Oh and Tek, I was refering to your saftey with weapons, and yer just a good dude too. I don't know about NVA though, it seems to me that there were some guys about 35 years ago with the same letters that weren't too cool. Hey Coyote 3, ya find yer front sight? Hell, I've gone on long enough, y'all probably didn't think I'd have THIS much to say. Heh.
