I was thinking of having a Rem 700VS in .223 rebarreled in 300 Whisper and then have it threaded for a muzzle can.

Is the 300 Whisper all that?

Any recommendations on a good local smith (Phx metro area) to do the rifle work?

Theres a place in flagstaff. never can remember the name. anywho, he can do bbls up to 30mm. ill see if i can figure out who he is.

also, derek @ www.azex.com has had some super sweet custom bbls made. might try contacting him.
