Looks like the Spring Valley range is next. Shut down planned for sometime late this Fall, closed for about a year.

Rode up to the Delaware Range today. There is absolutely no progress with the new range. The guy at Norton Gun Shop said they can't get any answers about the new range from the State, but apparently it is tied up with legal issues.

Weren't those issues there at the beginning? Something about the Army Corps of Engineers and the ODNR not being on the same page.

That's exactly what they should do. I am driving 15 minutes more this year to a different non-State rifle/pistol range.

I heard there were inter agency entanglement with respect to lead clean up standards. One group wanted a residential standard to be met, another was industrial.

Odd as it will be re-leaded in the first few seconds of reopening.
