where can I go to shoot longer distances?

I live in Findlay so something northwest Ohio would be great but really anywhere worth driving to. That I know of Leipsic Hunting and Fishing is probably the farthest that I know of being (I think 300yrds) It's been a while since I've been there.. use to be a member when I lived in Ottawa.

so whats some other good ones?

500 just outside of Gibsonburg.  Sandusky County Sportsmans Club.  It's about the longest in the immediate area, shy of Perry.

Select organized events, yes.  General shooting, not to my knowledge but someone will come along and correct that if I'm wrong.

I'm from findlay as well and am looking for somewhere to shoot lr.  I know of Rayners and Thunder Valley but from what I gather they don't have any open range days.

You can shoot at Rayners about anytime a match isn't going on for $20/day. Just call ahead.

There is Young's over in IN.  It is a hike to Rayners or TVP from the NW part of the state.

I can have a guest at SCSC, so if your close and want to go out there let me know.

Yeah, I've never been to Youngs, haven't heard a lot about it.  Rayners and TVP, yes a hike from this corner.

so han co sportmans club outside of Arlington ohio. I'm a member they have a 200 yard  range, but you need boots to cross the creek to put up a target. Its not really long distance but great fishing in the quarry to.

You can follow Thunder Valley on Facebook for open range days announcements; for example, they had open range just last weekend.

Rayner's is open pretty much ll the time, just give them a buzz.  Tom and Carolyn are the nicest people you could imagine dealing with.  Anything they have posted is just their matches.  Depending on what events they have going on you can still shoot from certain firing lines.
