Of course Karma's a bitch REALLY???? In this market. OP: The answer to your question is what ever you can get someone to pay you for it. Some words of advise. Sell it above board, in others words threw a FFL. This way your ASS is covered. No the law has not changed as of this date. But myself and most of the gun world are 99.999999% sure that is going to change in the next few weeks. It might only pertain to AR-15's and all there semi auto sisters. But mark my words it will change. And at this point I WOULD NOT sell any mags with your weapon. Because those could be worth more that the rifles are selling for today. Remember, mags don't have #'s. And we know there has been a Bill set to be voted on about banning hi capacity mags in the next few days. This bill is separate from anything that the VP and his gang are working up from the direction of Mr. Obama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXrAt7-ij2k . Fact's: Has this bill seen the floor to be voted on? No, not at this point in time. How ever the new congress only got seated TODAY. Will it pass??? Who knows, depends on who's arms get twisted. Will it get signed into law?? Again we can only wait and see how its worded and who takes a stand on it either way. Fact is we are kind of in uncharted water here. We haven't seen a attack on or gun rights at this large of a scale in over 20 yrs. And a lot has changed since the days of the fight over the Bill Clinton AWB in late 1993.( At times I think most on this site where not even born till after 1993). Just a FYI, Back before Pres. Bush Sr. Banned full auto weapons, you could buy a COMPLETE "Full Auto AR" for about $800.00-1000.00. Today to find a pre ban "Full Auto" LOWER ONLY. Your looking well over 5-K, Plus upper and then add in a year long wait on the NFA stamp and a $200.00 fee. Just of late I looked at a Colt M-16 that had the lower & upper gone threw and re-barreled. Asking price, 25-K. And it was only on the market for a few hours. So if it was ME, I'd hang on to that rifle. See what happens in the next few weeks to a year. It's not like your going to wake up on a Tue. morning and the law will have changed saying you cannot transfer it ever again. Keep your ear to the ground and you'll hear this train coming from a LONG way down the tracts. I have POF 308, 16" barrel with a can, And tax stamp, Plus 25,7.62 P-mags. In my safe. And I'm thinking 15-K or maybe more in the next 24 months.I thought real hard about selling that rifle back in Nov. I Floated it for sale for 3-K. With not much intrest, Since then I've been LOL at calls that want it today for 5-K. FYI, I was offered $100.00 Each for those P-Mags last week. |
| Before I would have said 600-700. But as we all know the market has completely changed in the past month. With the way stuff is now you could probably get 1200+ very easily. Look around arms list and see what comparable firearms are going for. If your serious about selling it throw it I arms list or carry it around the next gun show. I'm sure plenty of people will make you offers |
