| Columbus seems like a nice place for a large city. I came for the Precision Machining Technology Show. I haven't seen much of the city but from what I have seen, it's got a lot of charm. |

My poor opinion of MasterCAM was formed in trade school, and I'm an asshole for letting it sway my opinion now. I should have explored them further before diving in deeper with Delcam. They showed me native solid import, true native, not "install Autodesk Design View so we can piggy back it," native solid modeling IN the cam software, native machine simulation shipped with machine models, or draw your own, their dialog pages for interrogating and altering tool path stratedgies was lightyears beyond anything in FCAM.
I don't know the cost though, and they wouldn't tell me saying that was the distributer's area, so I may be pissing in the wind, if it's 2x the cost of what I've got then it was out of my budget anyway. |
