Anyone heading over to the show? I'm going to head up Saturday morning between 0930-1000. |

Quoted: I've never understood why OGCA makes it such a hassle to take guests and become a member just to attend their show. Why would/does anybody jump thru those hoops just to go to a gun show? Can anybody enlighten me? A "hassle"? ![]() People "jump through the hoops" because it's a good show. |

Can anybody enlighten me? No riff raff. Where else are you going to find $200K in Winchester rifles laying on one 8' table you can fondle? Plus I got a heck of a deal on Beretta 92 Inox today. |

I wondered the same thing from time to time..but the riff raff explanation makes the most sense. That is a good reason. After reading these posts, I was all set to start checking with my shooting buddies to see who could take me as a guest until I did a mapquest and found it would be over a 3 hour drive for me just to get there. Sounds like a good show. Thanks for the explanation everyone. |

^––Nice score! –––––––––––––––––––––– ). I'd imagine that the other arfcom OGCA members would help out as well. It's unlike any gun show I've ever been to. You'll find some black rifle stuff as well as original 19th century lever-actions, Remington Rolling Blocks, original Brown Bess and other types of flintlock & percussion muskets and rifles, collectible Garands, Carbines, Lugers and just about every handgun you can imagine (one guy had a Borchardt this time around). At one of the shows last year, a guy had a Creedmore rifle that was used in the big US vs Ireland shooting match in 1874 (had the paperwork to show who had shot it in that match). It ain't no Bill Goodman show. You'll not have to contend with unwashed trailer-trolls or anyone looking for a "Glock fo-tay". The aisles are also large enough to walk down even after the show gets crowded. The OGCA show rocks. |

There is still the great unwashed –– but the percentage is lower than Goodman's.
I went looking for M1 Garand Front Handguard –– Could not find one but I have contact infomation on a table owner who had some at home –– might follow up. I did pick up a Browning/FN Hi Power Competition –– Been looking for one for 3 years –– Wasn't horrible expensive. If you are looking for a rare gun –– OGCA is where to go –– It is there somewhere you just have to find it. UK |
