Hello everyone,
Building on the success of last years event, and partnering with the Wounded Warrior Project, I along with some friends (they did/do all the work) have put together another hunting and fishing trip for a group of 10-15 wounded warriors. The event will take place on October 8th and 9th. The 8th will consist of trout fishing and a dinner at the Erie County Conservation League. Rooms for Friday night have been donated by the Econo Lodge in Sandusky. The 9th will be a day of pheasant hunting and a dinner hosted by the South Cuyahoga Sportsman’s Association. Last years event went exceptionally well and the group of guys we hosted had a wonderful time. Listening to their stories you begin to understand the physical and mental trials they go through while recovering from their injuries. You also begin to understand the importance of events like this. If anyone would like to volunteer for the event contact me and I’ll see where I can fit you in (volunteer response has been overwhelming) If anyone would like to make a donation we could use shot shells, cheap Styrofoam coolers for the guys to take their trout and pheasants home in and cash for the purchasing of birds. Last years event ran on a cash budget of $500 bucks so a little goes along way if you would like to help.
