My girlfriend and i went to a local bar on friday with a few friends. While we were there we ran into some off duty cops, two of which are my friends of mine. The others i really cannot stand to be around. The cops that i can not stand swarmed around my girlfriend and starting telling her a bunch of lies about me, such as i am a huge local heroine dealer and user and that i do other things pertaining to drugs and illegal activities. Not even a hint of this is true, but to top it all off they told her that she was going to lose her teaching license and never be able to find a job. She is currently working on her masters degree and started crying and freaking out about all the hard work she has done and losing everything. Usually i wouldnt give a shit about the acts of these few odd duty leos but i think they crossed a line threatening my gf who was very scared and freaking out all weekend. I want to file a complaint with thier supervisor and see where it goes. She doesnt want to bring any more drama into the situation because she does not want any extra attention at work or in the community. What does everyone think i should do? Am i blowing it out of proportion, or will the supervisor even do anything?
thanks |

You need to find a better place to hang out and ditch the two loser friends (are they really your friends if they let co-workers treat you like this?) 4. you are an idiot if you continue to hang around this group 5. the cops were most likely trying to score with your old lady, they would have cuffed you right there and called some buddies on duty if they thought it would drop your girl's panties. It sounds like you have a nice GF, take her someplace nice on Fridays and ditch the losers. If you must hang out at a bar, pick another one, you are probably on the radar now and I wouldn't be surprised if these same cops sit outside the same bar when they are on duty, hoping you will walk out and start your car. Find another place to hang out. |

thanks vaughn, its just like you said 3 douche bag leos trying to show that they think they are cool to my girl. She knows that everything they said is totally bogus but is just afraid that they can exercise thier power some how. The leos that i said friends should actually just be referred to as acquantice's i have just saw them at a range a time or two and try to be civil with them. This is one of my huge problems with leos that they act like they are above the law and threaten people. They drove home after drinking all night long like it was no big deal i should have called in thier plates as a drunk driver, but i was to busy explaining to my gf how this was all bullshit.
This is why everyone refers to Union Township as Useless Township Police Department |

personally if it was me ... i would contact internal affairs and file a former complaint .. you just might be surprised on just how far they will take it . +1 They might have a record in doing this. If not, there is a record of your report and the next time they do this, they will see your report. Internal affairs will see that there could be problems with this officer and they can talk with them. Maybe, next time they will think twice. I had a scum bag of a cousin that would do similar stuff. I knew when he was a police officer that they just hired the wrong guy. He would pull over women that he liked and harass them. They end up figuring this all out and he got canned. I was so glad that he did. I could not stand his dirt bag ways. He was a bad cop! |

most leos dont realize they are just civilians and no better than the rest of us. your story doesnt surprise me at all. 95% of all cops i know are dirt bags... 99.999% really. worse than your herion cartel
...and 100% of people that say this have got caught doing something they shouldn't have been doing, and then get all butt hurt when they get caught! (see what I did there? I can throw out random percentages too) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() out of ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
ETA: If officers did this, file a complaint. Go to the on duty supervisor, and if that doesn't work, go to the chief. |

What the hell.
I'm sorry, but that story is almost unbelievable. If it's true and complete as stated you should file an internal affairs complaint. If it's partially true, or if their story is partially true, you should avoid them. I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe they were doing that to hit on your girlfriend. Maybe just to be assholes. Frankly, I'd be inclined to call bullshit, but it sounds like it's a small jurisdiction, I'm not familiar with it, and small jurisdictions do tend to breed assholes. |

I'd also encourage your girlfriend to relax a bit. I'm sorry it's stressing you out but I'd hope she'd trust you over what sounds to be near-strangers, regardless of their position of authority. Just to balance out the sentiment here, yes, cops are just like everyone else, good eggs and bad eggs. But I know some really awesome officers in Euclid, University Circle and Cleveland Heights (NOT traffic division!), and a state trooper recently cut me a break for speeding and let me off with a warning. Even when I've gotten tickets, they've generally been good, professional guys. I'm pretty happy with the officers I've dealt with in recent years. So I'm sorry you've got to deal with some uncharacteristic assholes who embarrass their colleagues here in Ohio. |
