I haven't been to their class. However, most CHL classes in Ohio are just the NRA Basic Pistol class, with a little bit of the Atty. General's pamphlet thrown in, with a little bit of shooting done at the end. Except for the shooting, it can be done anywhwere. If you actually want to learn something about shooting, do a ton of shooting AND be qualified for a CHL, go to www.tdiohio.com for their pistol courses. |

What's your criteria? Get the CHL, or know how to shoot well?
Any 12 hour course will do it to get your license. Don't sweat quality or big name instructors or ranges. You won't know how to shoot, but you'll be legal. –– Chuck |

I train 10-12 hrs monthly, So to me its not about the cost. I spend about 150.00-175.00. every course/event. All I will say is this. YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...... |

I'm hoping to find out about these guys...don't want to end up in a pit in some guys basement putting the lotion on the skin. I took their class in Oct. 2007. It is the NRA Basic Handgun class with range time. You are in someone's basement, but it is finished and is set up for the class. They even have training pistols (airsoft?) that they use to demonstrate weapon safety. The range time is mandated as 4 hours and there is no shortcutting it. My instructor took the time to actually instruct people on how to shoot whatever weapon they had. One of the women brought a .25 and he was helping her get on target at 25 yards. He also had a large number of other handguns available for the students to try out and use. All the student needed to do was bring whatever ammo they needed. During day 1 the instructor informed us of the calibers and told us if we wanted to shoot their weapons we just had to bring our own supply of ammo. Near the end of the 4 hour time we "took the test" and had to demonstrate we could safely handle the weapon while still hitting the target at 25 yards. The class is what it is. It fulfills the requirements set forth by the State of Ohio for the Concealed Handgun License. -Bob |

We went to Spring Valley, but they do have access to a private range (private property?) somewhere in Goshen I think. Everyone in my class was o.k. with going to Spring Valley so that's where we went. -Bob |
