I'm in northeast Ohio, have a place to stay down there over night. Is it worth the trip to Athens? So has anyone gone to this Athens gun show? How many tables? (a lot of shows down that way are ten tables or less) How much to get in? Parking fee? Some help please!!! PITA45  |

I live in Athens, have been to every show they have had here, and even worked some. They were better when they first started, they kinda trailed off since. The last one (right before christmas) was pretty decent. How many tables, this is just a wild ass guess but i'd say 100. Keep in mind many vendors have like 10 tables (like the people selling leather stuff, or magazines, etc). The prices aren't all that great, the best deals are usually walking around. Parking is free, $5 to get in (ladies get in free). Is it worth driving down that far for? If you are going for just the gun show then I'd say no. I'd much rather go to Berea or Medina than Athens. Now, if you are coming down to visit some friends, enjoy the athens night life, then go to the gun show the next day, I'd say it might be worth your trip. The only problem is as of decemeber, the building they use *might* be rented. If so they won't have the show there. I've not talked to anyone from PRO since then so it might be still on for all I know. I could give Big Mike a call and get more info about it if you are really interested in coming to it. Pretty much what he said. The only reason I go is because I live 10 minutes away. Columbus/Wilimgton shows are much better. |
