Ha, had an old guy come by with an "experienced" 870 with slug barrel, mottled parkerized finish, and a corncob front end. Asked how much.. "$150".. Well, in the interest of domestic tranquility, I passed. He came bock an hour later, and offered for $130. Again, pass for the wife's sake... He offered it to the guy next to me. Pass. THe then had someone come up and ask about it, and ended up selling it for $75 as the barrel quite loose due to something being broken. Dag, coulda salvaged parts and barrel for that.... Well, about 30 minutes later, yet another guy comes by with it. Guy next to me asks innocently like... "Sellin it?" "Yup, $150" "ahh, pass then" So another 1/2 hour, jsut before show closed, YET ANOTHER guy walks by with it. I look at the guy next to me, we both crack up. "That for sale" "Nope, just bought it" "Cool"... Too danged funny man.... Of course, the guy next to me churned at least 5 pistols and 2 rifles today.... |
