Well after doing the "Please might I have a zoning variance?" dance. Convincing several distributors that even though the building is on my residence's lot it is a seperate varianced building, so it is not a table top dealership. Then several thousand in remodeling of my building. Realizing that I need to initially run the extra phone lines under my name instead of the business, unless I wanted to pay a several hundred $ for them to do a business hook up. Running stock stupidly low inorder to pay for drywalling, door and cases.

My shop is now a real shop, not just a building that I work out of !

Now I realize that I have a lot more room than stuff.

Doing a happy dance and glad no-one can see me.

Woops, that is akind of a good thing to mention for a shop

I sell LMT, DD, Aimpoint, Eotech, VLTOR, and can pretty much get anything else at a good price. Still trying to decide what exactly I should stock for the store.

Non-gun I have some Benchmades on the way. Fenix LED, Wolfeyes, and Lumens Factory lights. Surefire will come, but they have a steep buy in.

Plan on building the stock up in AR, precision rifles, and service pistols.

What would you like to see a local funshop?

About 20 minutes South of Youngstown on Rt 11.

Hah, entered "leetonia, OH 44431" into Google and the little picture that they give for the GoogleMap links is a good snap shot of where my shop is

Did you have to get zoning variance for the AFT to approve the FFL?  If so, was it because you are in a residential part of town?

Also, did ATF make you remodel for some reason or did you just do it for more space or whatever.  I guess I'm asking if they have some kind of criteria for a building.  Not to worry, I'm no where near you and just doing research.

Pretty much, they told me that I could probably get an FFL out of my downstairs restroom (nearly a direct quote) but I would not get it renewed.

Needs to be an obvious place of business.

The reason for such extensive remodeling was that it is an old pole building garage that just sucked for operating out of. So I ripped off the OHD put in a nice personel door, and think I turned it into a place that you will believe a professional works out of.

They really do not have any specific security regulations, inspector told me that the potential civil liabilities for a stolen gun works much better than their old regs did. Even if you win any suits against you, you have mucho dinero in legal fees.

The least crappy pichture I have of the interior

Outside waiting on the sign painter to finish. So that people can find it

That looks really good man.  Must feel good to have it ready for business.

Out of the bathroom...that's funny.  So did they inspect you before you got the license or did you just apply and get it and then they inspect?  How does that work?

Thanks for answering me by the way.  Most people who get an FFL think anybody else who asks about it is going to take their business or something.  I think anybody who treats customers right doesn't have to worry about that.  Your reputation will take care of itself and you will earn and keep all your business.

I have a Sundevil in the case at the moment. A few LMT lowers for those who do't want to fiddle with putting little pins and springs in.
