Fellow ARFCOMERs, As most are aware, I hope, we have an illegal alien problem in the state of Ohio and all across America. I would like info on day labor sites, employers hiring illegals, and overcrowded housing situations that you know of in and around where you work/travel on a daily basis. This info is kept in strict confidence and no names will be used. I'm the State Director for Ohio Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. Mostly we watch the Southern border, but here in Ohio we are watching and reporting to I.C.E., Immigration and Customs Enforcement, situations occurring in our neighborhoods and cities. Thanks, JIM Now, more than ever, you need to call your representatives to ask for an amendment to the "Ohio Workers Protection Act" and ask that Illegall trespassing be added to allow local law enforcement and State Troopers to arrest and detain illegals. This part of the law was removed because Latino organizations didn't like it !!!! UPDATE: Call your Reps and Senators about the "No Amnesty" issue..Pres Bush still wants a "Guest Worker" policy and the U.S. (YOU) cannot afford to pay for this. Also, call about the "Illegal Trespassing" issue for "Ohio Workers Protection Act". We don't have much time left..... JIM ... HELP save an Ohio job!!!!!!! |

Hell! The local WAL-MARTS in Northern Summit County(Cuyahoga Falls) act like a labor pool a bunch of amigos sitting out front on benches. cars/trucks drive by and say: "Roofing job" or "ditch digging" and one speaking English dickers on wages, and off go workers and an employer for a job, only to have more amigos join the benchers. |

Seeing as I'm a legal immigrant, this is one of my pet peeves. I even have the INS 1-800# in my wallet. We have two school bus loads of Mexicans coming into the Krogers in Xenia about every 2wks on a friday night, they seem to hit Wal-Mart first then head over to Krogers. I'm guessing they hit the place on payday, as I noticed one of them pulling out one of those money sleeves that you normally get from an employer. I would say there is close to 30 of them, I've been tempted to call local LE but didn't due to the fact I assumed they would tell there is nothing they can do about it. Hell, I was only asked once to see my Green Card in the 9yrs I've been here, and now that I'm legal it doesn't matter. If there is something you guys can do about this that would be great. If you want more details I can head over there this friday to try and get an idea on a pattern? Just wanted to add, I did see what looked like a Caucasian amoungst them this past friday as some were getting back on the bus, if that helps any. |
