I've got a buddy looking to get a Springfield Armory M1A.  Does anybody know of one for sale at a good price or have any recommendations for a shop that has good pricing?

Thanks!

I just got mine off Gunbroker.  I paid around 1200 bucks for a brand new M1A, standard model with walnut stock.  Last fall there was a store in Dayton selling the same one for 1350 or so.

Tell him to wait till middle / end of July and just go to Camp Perry and buy one directly from Springfield.  It will be the best price anyone will ever get on a New one.

+1

Camp Perry in the last two weeks of July is THE place to be to get deals on anything reloading and on anything related to US service rifles.

Two words: Commercial Row.

BTW, the National Matches are open to the public for spectating/browsing/shopping.

Isn't that a pretty good drive?  These deals big enough for the 50-100$ gas bill?

got to love gas prices.

Yep!

I have found Camp Perry's deals to be: OUTSTANDING!

See if you can e-mail or call an AR15 bud going there and pick stuff up for you.
