I was getting my hair cut talking with my barber and he mentioned that his landlord, who is a lawyer, is making all of the stores in his strip mall put up the no ccw signs. I told him that I would have to think about coming back there ever again. Then I asked him if I could open carry instead of concealed carry. He said he wouldnt mind if I was open carrying at all.

So my question is if its legal to open carry inside a store with a no concealed carry sign?
It is legal to open carry there and violates no local laws. And I would leave the business if they asked me to.

I suppose since this is a barber shop and they have to put that stylish smock on you to keep hair off of you, my open carry would then become concealed once I sat down. I guess I could tuck the smock around my glock to leave it open but I'm not gonna clean hair off my gun every few weeks. Maybe I can special order a glock smock for getting my hair cut while open carrying... If the smock was clear and you could still see my gun would that still be open carry???

The signs I've seen didn't specify "concealed", they just said firearms in general, but that's just been my experience at the yuppy scum restaurants I've seen them at.

In any case, it's going to be a long haul getting into any store in this retarded state without lawyers and blissninnies interfering with CCW.

We at Ohioans For Concealed Carry would prefer you to use the official cards, located on our website.   This is so that we have uniform cards across the state.  We've put a lot of time into making these, and the couple of cents we make per order does go towards fighting to get the law improved.

Open Carry is still valuable and usefull. Basically the signs that are being posted in public and municipal buildings are illegal. They have no legal right to not allow me to carry a firearm there, they can only restrict me from concealing it (as per Klein vs Leis). Privately owned places on the other hand, no firearms signs mean no firearms. By open carrying there you could probably be charged with misdermeanor criminal tresspass. I would like to see OFCC fight to get the signs changed. They should either go away since the law is still there, or they should be worded to specifically restrict concealed carry only.
