Doesn anybody know if this is a reputable school?  They say they are, but I they're not the ones that get to make that judgement.  I'm close enough that I'd consider taking a few of their courses.  They look squared away (mosly) and seems like the courses would be a blast.

I can't say personaly how good TDI is. I have talked to some prople localy who have taken some of thier handgun courses. They were very happy with thier training.

You'd be wise to ask around about TDI before taking the plunge.  I'd ask on the Tactics & Training forum here as well as Glock Talk and others.

Here's my $.02:

TDI is a fantastic place to go for training -
  • The facilities - possibly the best in the midwest.  Numerous shoothouses with different layouts, "parking lot" range, tons of steel to shoot at, etc.
  • The staff - very low instructor to student ratio - these guys are all dialed in and on the same page.  Very professional as well as friendly people to deal with.  The constant feedback I received from these guys has really stuck with me.
  • The coursework - Every day started with a shooting w/ movement warm up on the steel range and followed up with a lot of very challenging and thought provoking modules.  They have their way of doing things (like most schools), but they aren't commandments written in stone for you to worship, they do, however, ALL WORK.  Just turn your brain on to 'sponge mode' during the lessons and you won't be sorry.  For the most part, these all lead up to multiple runs in the shoothouses - talk about challenging - if you're not drained after a day of training there you're probably not human.
  • The location - out in "the hills" about an hour outside of Cinci - sucks for me because it's a 7+ hour drive one-way and that’s my only complaint.  If this facility was in Wisconsin - I'd of already have taken every shooting course in their curriculum – be stupid not to.

I can also recommend TDI.  I have not yet attended a rifle class, but after 6 handgun and two CQPC classes, I echo everything Dolomite stated.  The instructors and training are fantastic.  The low instructor to student ratio is great.  In the Level III handgun course I took with my cousin, there were 31 students and upto 16 instructors.  It was hard to shoot a full magazine without one of the instructors right there to critic or fine tune you.
