Not too many in the southwest, most are central Bakes.
DoubleTree is centrally located Hampton Inn & Suites (Hilton) Stay away from the Olive/Knudsen drive area and anything on Union Ave. |

We stayed one night in the Springhill Suites a while back for a funeral. A little cheaper than the ones recommended by the locals. There are several name business related "hotels" in the area. Near 58 and 99. No problems, typical breakfast, etc.

Do not ever stay at the Ramada Inn. There are at least two. One is pretty good. The other is a sty. I'd tell you which is which, but when I stayed in the bad and very dirty one, I had just left the ER and was looking for somewhere to crash.
Just avoid them and save yourself any chance of misery. |

Courtyard at 58/99 was nice at 4th of July. Not exactly SW Bakersfield but it's easy access to 99.

Stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites on 8858 Spectrum Pkwy last year and it was clean and quiet.

Ended up getting an Airbnb. Cheaper than all the hotels, private entrance. Thanks for all the suggestions. Any afrcommers in the area want to grab dinner let me know.
