As CA law is super confusing, is there any reason I cannot ship a LPK to buyer in CA? It is my understanding that it is ultimately up to the builder to conform with either a bullet button or abide by the assault weapon feature list? Is this true? The LPK in question is a standard Daniel Defense with no bullet button.

You are fine to send it, depending on how we choose to build the rifle we can either use a regular mag release or a bullet button.
