*** So I am posting this here since this is strictly a question for Californians since I am moving there in the near future. If anyone insists on moving this to another forum, I have no issue with that I dont like telling strangers things about myself. I dont put NRA stickers on my car or wear GLOCK T-shirts. With that in mind, I like to look like any other person in a crowd. So my question is: Would wearing cargo pants and boots like this and this make me look out of place in southern california? I know its kind of a silly question, but I dont remember ANYBODY my age wearing boots in CA before I joined the army. It was all skate shoes and converse 24/7. Im going back to college when I get back and I would rather not stand out too much. Obviously being surrounded by 18-22 year old libtards I will already stand out some but I was just wondering if I may need to reevaluate how I dress when I get back. This is probably not even a big deal, I just have WAY too much time this weekend cuz the wifes with her parents and im stuck at home with the baby lol |

Dude, I wear tac pants 7 days a week and nobody bats an eyelash. I'm a bit north of SoCal (Central SJ valley), but still. They won't even notice. The only time people notice what I wear is when I go out with Ranger up shirts on, those get noticed, but not in a negative way. |

I think you're over thinking it. Not everyone here is a skater, surfer or whatever. It all depends on where you're moving to, and even then, not that big of an issue. Are you sure? I live a really blue collar city in the IE with lots of truck drivers, construction workers, and wearhouse people ... boots are pretty common. |
| I wear these almost daily. It's pretty rare that anyone comments and if they do it's usually a compliment or asking where I got them. |
| The black ones look like some of what the girls wear, the browns are little outdoorsy, both seem to be a little too heavy duty for what I see as casual wear. But with a little wear on them, and you'll be fine in most casual situations. People tend more toward athletic shoes or some kind of sandals most of the time around where I am. |

Guess I should have mentioned that Im moving to Riverside Co so ya heat will be a factor. However if I can wear these on muggy nasty sweaty days in South Texas, I dont think they will give me much grief in dry desert.
Anyways, I look forward to joining your ranks, gentlemen. I may never become a fan of the govt of CA, but I love the state |

On a daily basis I can be found wearing cargo pants, combat boots and an NRA shirt (or a PSA shirt) Nobody bats an eye. Don't know where the OP is moving to but see no issues. |
