I have asked a few questions in the past about what I need to do about my guns and ammo for my move to SoCal.  I have one more.  I have three (rendered safe by EOD) grenades from Viet Nam.  My dad brought them back.  They are the old "look like a can with a long wooden handle" type.  Am I screwed or can I bring them with me?

Time here in N.C. is getting short.  I will be leaving in July for Cali and the wife will be on her way this month.

Thanks in advance.

Mo

ETA:  Already have bullet buttons for the wife and my AR's and got rid of my high capacity pistol mags (they were gimics anyways as all of my hanguns hold 9 rounds or less).  I have also broken down my 30 round AR mags and have the components stored in separate ammo cans.  Also, I still can't find if my Circuit Judge is legal or not.  I know the Judge handguns are a no no but this one is a carbine.

IIRC replica grenades are forbidden. There also may be federal laws involved.

I welcome yet another gun (and grenade) owner to California.

I am looking forward to my return to SoCal.  It drives my dad nuts that I like it out there

Do you know if the carbine Judge is good-to-go?  It has a rifled barrel so I think it is.

I found this http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/cacode/PEN/3/4/2/1/2/s12020 and it looks like inert grenades are a no go. You may give yourself an aneurism trying to read all that mumbo jumbo though.

Fuck me!  I guess I will take my chances.  Thanks.

The .410/.45LC Rossi Circuit Court Judge is CA legal.

A few CA gun stores sell them...
... like Warrior One in Riverside.

Seriously?
You would risk your career and potentially spending time as a guest of the state of California over something like that?
If they are that important, get a safe deposit box and secure them for your return

I am looking into that today.  Sucks.  The last time I was stationed out there was 12 years ago and I never much paid attention to gun laws out there.  I know not smart.  These items have actually spent time in Cali before.  I don't think they will be moving with me this time.
