FNG checking in to AR15.com
Been a long time follower. so here is my first contribution to AR15.com I just finished my first AR build pics below.Tell me what you think, Also I have question about new build Idea I want a mid length but want to use a 16" Heavy barrel with no MB can I do that since the barrel is 16" long. My first build. OK. Dont take this the wrong way, because I don;t even own an AR yet. Still working on that.
But to me it looks a little "busy" Not sure why, but that is my first impression. ETA And the barrel looks really long. Although it may be the 5 gallses of wine and a beer. IDK |

Welcome and thanks for posting the picture.
What do I think....hmmmm....How does it shoot? That's what important. That's what I think. FWIW...You'll find that anything that says "Blackthorn, Hesse, or Vulcan" has the kiss of death around here. I have no personal experience, but I've read a lot. If you're anything like me, you're in for a long and fun journey in discovering what you really like and what works for you. So, don't let anyone on here tell you that you have piece of crap if it works for you. Welcome!

Thanks for the early inputs, I got the upper for $200 I should have known better but for 200 couldnt pass it up I shot 2 5rd groups @1" at 100yds,with Iron sights thanks Marine Corps, I had no feed issues or ejection probs that i have read about now about blackthorne, also I dont have the money that some have for 1000 uppers I wish I did though, the Optic was free do to my other job. The Bipod mount is for my M14, I think im going to swap the CQ/T for the M68. I am grateful for the input. Brad the Leupie rocks on my Duty rifle 600 easy, also for grins i put it on my 14 and worked also just the eye releif was off a little, but definatley compatible to ACOG, Personally I wish the eye piece was a little wider, but thats me the glass is crystal and the reticle is great too. Warpig I have no Idea that is what the dealer told me.
