I was told that they don't have the ten day waiting period.

True or false? I'd think they would have the ten day waiting period.

Does anyone know for a fact?

False.  In fact, if you pawn a gun, when you go back and get it you have to do all the background checks and waiting just like you were buying a new gun.

Yeah, pawn shops are pretty much bare of guns these days.   Back when I was in high school you could go in and find pawn shops that were better stocked than most gun shops.   About a year after I graduated, and 3 years before I turned 21, they started passing the crap laws that turned pawn shops into barren deserts with the odd tumbleweed(pump action shotgun) blowing through the store.

I was looking into getting a gun from a pawn shop but I would never pawn any of my guns. A buddy picked up a nice 5 shooter. 357 for dirt cheap.

I bought a SWEEEET S&W 686 from a CA pawn shop (LA area) via Gunbroker not too long ago.

They are out there.

Yes, they must have the 10 day waiting period. i found my 1st gun at a pawn shop, 1911 govt MKIV series 70.

Truly a diamond in the rough.

But, don't overlook them; if I've found my pistol there, I'm sure there are other gems waiting to be found.

And well worth waiting the ten days.
