for an EMT looking for work in Corona/Riverside, Ca?  I have been licensed (NREMT) for almost 3 months now and I have found nothing after putting in countless resumes and applications.

Lots of paramedics are making bank as MSTC instructors with CSC or with DYNCORP fire services, but of course it's not the 909 it's about 8000 miles east of there (Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, 'Stan).  Good $$$ though.

Good luck, there isn't much.  I've been NREMT for 10 years and a few months back, decided to look for somewhere to do a few weekend shifts a month (to pay for a new EBR build).  Nothing.  Nada.  I even know ppl in a few of the local Amb services, didn't help one damn bit...

It's not all camels, incest and sand-fleas.  There are several countries you may wish to explore.  Most of these countries are safer than urban U.S. areas.

Take a job in Kuwait, Dubai or Bahrain...and bring her with you.  Keep her out of the malls or you are really toast.  Otherwise, look towards a very scarce domestic job market.

Expat work is interesting, and for me is not long-term.  But it brings home $$$ and keeps a roof over the wife AND kids heads.  You do what you gotta do.

DynCorp, CSC, CSA, etc. etc. are always looking for medical peeps of various skill levels.
