A couple of guys are thinking of having a unloaded open carry meet in santa clarita, can anybody organised one or been to one and can you give us tips for puting one together.

You better find yourself a better place to be asking. UOC is not appreciated around here for a variety of reasons. Plus the groups that have been organizing these probably are a deep well of information, and especially can point out the shall nots.
This is the Section that is almost guaranteed to be a gotcha in almost all urban areas. 626.9 Cannot carry “in a place that the person knows, or reasonably should know” is within 1000 feet of a K-12 school. Must be transported unloaded in a locked case or vehicle trunk. Cannot carry on the grounds of a university without written permission. |

These UOC meets sends chills up my spine, because I know at one of them there will be "that guy".....and "that guy" is going to fuck us. Just plz make sure EVERYONE gets together before hand and EVERYONE is on the same page before you do this. The anti-gun crowd is already forming against OC because of these meets. The politicians are waiting for 1 little mistake...anything, to move forward with banning OC. That includes a UOC member getting his gun stolen or a fight over a gun. Even attempted theft is enough, since they are pushing this as a reason its unsafe in public..a purse snatcher type theft. |
