So, I will admit that CA gun laws are a bit overwhelming for me.  I recently sold a collapsible stock to a member here on the forums and at the time overlooked his address.  I now notice that he lives in CA.  So I would like some clarification before sending the stock.  Is it legal to ship?

My understanding is that ARs built on off list lowers are allowed the "evil" features as long as they have a 10 round fixed magazine and meet the minimum 30" overall length for semi autos when collapsed rule.  Is this correct?  And by sending said stock, compliance with CA law would be the recipient's responsibility.

Yeah, I'm a dope for not thinking of it before.  School me on CA law!

And thanks for having a look and I look forward to hearing back from you folks.

Yes it is perfectly legal to sell someone in CA a collapsible stock.  It is legal to use one on an AR too.  Thanks for helping out us CA folk.

Yep, a part is just a part.  Its only when someone puts the parts together where the law comes into play....and that is only for a complete firearm.

Parts is parts - including magazines when disassembled.
