Just got confirmation that LaRue will not sell lowers to California residents or to known out of state middlemen.

Mark's business, so he is free to make policy as he sees fit.  Just a little disappointed that he has taken this stance.

DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A LARUE BASH

KEEP IT RESPECTFUL.

Yep.  It just saddens me when one of the good guys takes this stance.

Lowers is lowers.

We'd be fine even if all we could buy were Stag, as long as sufficient supply's available.

Bill,

As an aside, do you know of any ranges between the Bay Area and Sacramento that have a rifle range over 100 yards?  I just picked up a Rem 700 SPS Varmint and I want to take her out to play.

Sac valley shooting center has a 100 yard range and a 300 yard range.  You'll have to prove you can keep your shoots on paper at 100 yards before they let you on the 300 yard range though.  I guess a rancher ownt he land behind the 300 yard range and they don't want you sending projectiles over the berm towards the rancher or his herd.

It's more south west of sac if your interested.  They have a website with directions...

I've only been there once as it is over an hour drive for me.  But the RO on duty that day was real cool.  That RO owns 4 AR's himself and more than likely a member here if he owns that many rifles.

There's the range out by Sacto in Ione - never been there.

In south San Jose, there's the public "Field Sports Park" facility range ("Metcalf range").  Once a month the
200 yd range opens up.

Well,

If in fact this is true, He'll never see a dime of my money.

Not that he needs it anyway.

However, I do vote with the not so mighty dollar.

If you're willing to travel a little more south, the Laguna Seca Rifle Range in Monterey has paper target stands up to 200 yards open everyday, and a steel gong up the hill at 300 yards. They also have (IMO) the best steel handgun range in central Ca.

ETA: Where did you find confirmation that Mark won't sell to Ca? Over the phone or do you have a link?

There was a thread at Calguns about it, so I emailed LaRue.  Brian Fulton (at LaRue) confirmed it with an email reply

If he sells to California LEO or a California agency then he's an asshat anti-2A POS.

If he is refusing to sell to anyone in California then he's got my vote for President.

Which is it?  I'll go check and see.

So because I didn't specify 'CWDraco Stay Out' you feel that it's acceptable to come in and try to get it locked or deleted just because you don't like the tone of the thread?

A troll by any other name is still a troll.  And yes, you are starting to wear me down to your level.
