I used to live in Westminster and then Midway City... moved to Lakewood right before Sheriff Carona got elected and started giving out CCW permits.

Any of you OC guys got a CCW?

ive never heard of anyone getting a CCW in OC, from what i hear the UNDER-sheriff is antigun and wants STRONG REASONS to have one. in other words they are being blocked from going to the sheriff for his signature.

at least thats the rumor.

I haven't heard that rumor. Last I heard, Sheriff Carona had issued about 3000 permits, more or less. A couple of guys I know at work have CCWs.

You lived at the Mobile gas staion? <g>

I lived in the Ridgecrest apartments right up the street from there until about 5 years ago.

Did they have to show need, or did they just apply and were approved?  How did they go about getting one?  Inquiring (OC) minds want to know.
